Sodium silicate, commonly known as Paohua alkali, is an inorganic substance with a chemical formula of Na2O·nSiO2. Its aqueous solution is commonly known as water glass, which is a mineral binder. It is a soluble inorganic silicate with a wide range of uses.
Application
1. Water glass Powdered Sodium Silicate is used as an activator for fly ash cement to improve the activity of fly ash, thereby improving the compressive strength and flexural strength of fly ash admixture cement; or increasing the amount of fly ash in cement, thereby increasing the Cement production and lower cement production costs. Powdered instant sodium silicate can also be used as quick-drying agent and reinforcing agent for ordinary cement.
2. Water glass Powdered Sodium Silicate is used as drilling cuttings coagulation agent and shale anti-swelling agent for silicon-based drilling fluids, bentonite slurry cemented leakage plugging agent and colloidal cement leakage plugging agent, precipitation chemical water plugging agent for oil and gas wells, and oil and gas well swelling agent Type water blocking agent.
3. Water glass Powdered Sodium Silicate is used as a binder for unshaped refractory materials such as kiln gunning material, castable, acid-resistant cement, etc.; a mixture of foundry industry, ceramic industry, paint industry and thermal insulation material; thickener in oil production industry.
4. It is the main component of washing powder.
